The Town of Morinville is currently seeking an IT System Administrator to join the Team.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related pro-cedures adhere to organizational values, vision, strategy and goals. The IT System Administrator will take a lead role in a Technology Plan and implementation in 2012 that will determine business processes, applications, information, data and technology, infrastructure layers and the means for integration. The incumbent will provide technical leadership and support across the organization to staff members in all departments, members of Council, and partnering organizations such as the Morinville Fire Department. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, supplemented by Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft and a minimum of six years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience with Great Plains/Diamond software and GIS will be considered an asset. The individual we are seeking is a strategic thinker with a passion to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness. Highly developed communication and organizational skills will support success in this role. In accordance with Town policy, the successful candidate will be required to provide an acceptable Criminal Records Check. Salary Range: $61,987- $75,762.
